Robin Nest Initiation Surveys

Project Description: 

Robins initiate nest building in urban environments three weeks earlier on average when compared to their rural counterparts. We are investigating the forces that drive this behavioral modification.

Responsibilities for Undergraduates:

• Undergraduates will be given specific locations and routes to walk in the spring, they will be responsible for walking these routes and documenting newly built robin nests. 

Required Skills/ Qualifications:

None! We will train on everything!

Time Commitment:

3 hours a week minimum, flexible on days

Benefits for Undergraduates:

This research can potentially be taken for credit. Data collected can be presented in the form of a poster. Reliable undergrads will have opportunities for more research and lab work in the following semesters.
